Color values are for reference

Our color picker, converter, and palette generator produce color codes and palettes to help you in your design and development work. While we use standard, well-established formulas, the values are provided "as is" for reference. You are responsible for testing and confirming any color before using it in final, published, or production work.

Screens vary

The way a color looks depends heavily on the device displaying it. Monitors, phones, and tablets differ in brightness, contrast, color profile, and calibration, so the same HEX code can appear noticeably different from one screen to another. ColrPick cannot guarantee how any color will look on your specific display or anyone else's.

Print and CMYK are approximate

Screens create color with light (RGB), while printers create it with ink (CMYK). Converting between the two is inherently an approximation, and printed results also depend on the printer, paper, and color profile used. Any CMYK value shown on this site should be treated as a starting point only. Always request a proof and confirm exact colors with your print provider before committing to a print run.

Accessibility is your responsibility

Our palette generator can help you build harmonious color sets, but it does not guarantee that any pairing of colors will meet accessibility standards such as WCAG contrast ratios. Whether text is readable depends on the specific foreground and background colors you choose. Please verify contrast independently for any design that needs to be accessible.
