About ColrPick
ColrPick is a small, focused collection of color tools for anyone who works with color on a screen — web developers, UI and graphic designers, students, and hobbyists. It started from a simple frustration: most color utilities online are either buried in ads and pop-ups, or bloated with a hundred half-working features that make the one thing you actually need harder to find. We wanted the opposite — a clean, fast place to pick a color, convert it, and build a palette, and nothing else getting in the way.
What we make
Right now ColrPick is built around three tools, each designed to do its job well rather than to pad out a feature list:
Color Picker
Pick any color and read live HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV and CMYK values.
HEX ⇄ RGB Converter
Convert codes between HEX, RGB and HSL, both directions, with validation.
Palette Generator
Turn one color into shades, tints and harmony palettes.
Our approach
Everything runs in your browser. When you pick a color or generate a palette, the calculation happens locally on your device using JavaScript. Nothing you enter is uploaded to a server. That keeps the tools instant, keeps your work private, and means they even keep working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.
Accuracy matters. Our conversions use the same standard, well-documented formulas that professional design software relies on, so the codes you copy here will match what you see elsewhere. Where a conversion is inherently approximate — such as translating an on-screen color to CMYK for print — we say so clearly rather than pretending it's exact.
Free and open to everyone. There's no account to create, no paywall, and no limit on how many colors you can pick or palettes you can build. The site is supported modestly through advertising so the tools can stay free to use.
